Other Bike Trainings

I also offer beginning cycling lessons. They are for the new or anyone wanting to jump start their cycling experience. They are one hour sessions and cover but not limited to: How and when to shift, braking, position on bike, equipment, how to fix flats, how to put chain on your bike, how to maintain your bike, etc. Most do about 4 or 5 rides. I offer Tours of Blount County on a call for information.

Training Camp2008's Training Camp was a Success!

The spring training camp is a Metro Detroit Cycling Club and Major Taylors Cycling Club joint event.

  • Bike Domestique plans each day's routes and coordinates route leaders.
  • Many local cyclist volunteer to be leaders.
  • Cycology Bicycles sponsors SAG each day and a pizza lunch at the shop one day.
  • Home base for the camp is Valley View Lodge in Townsend. Some also stay at the Dancing Bear Lodge as well.

A special thanks for all the Townsend, Maryville and Blount County residents for their continued support and courteous hospitality during this event. Last year the cyclist spend many thousands of dollars in our county for the camp. Photos at right are from the 2008 training camp.

Anyone wishing to join in should contact MDCC, Brian Cox 248-419-0782.
